Children’s Discovery Center
We help history become more real for children and youth.
Established in 1979, the Children’s Discover Center in the Depot is an innovative learning environment. The learning environment encourages pre-schoolers and young children to use their imaginations, to create in a learning environment, to ignite their curiosity, and to teach basic problem-solving skills.
Our displays and hands-on learning materials are directed toward early childhood development. Each of the activities is focused on teaching about life in the past, as well as helping children be creative and curious about the future. The activities for the Children's Discovery Center are selected to reinforce those that our children have at home, at school, and in the community.
