    Gary L. Pinkerton, author of Trammel’s Trace: The First Road to Texas from the North. will tell the story of this early trail and its role in the history of Rusk County. Thursday, June 12, 2025, 6:30 until 7:30 pm at the museum.

    The Heritage Syrup Festival in Henderson, Texas, has been celebrated for over 35 years, preserving folk traditions and creating sweet memories.

  • Heritage Folk Art Day

    This educational experience for second grade students was created as part of the Folk Art Preservation Project.  Reservations are required.

  • Touch-a-Truck

    June 3rd and June 17th

    Kids. . . and adults. . . can see, touch, and experience all kinds of trucks in this special day open to the public. June 3rd will be vehicles from law enforcement, and June 17th will be the special trucks that make our community a better place to live.
