Main Street Henderson

The Henderson Main Street Project's mission is to utilize volunteers and public-private partnerships to revitalize and maintain the downtown business district; and to create and keep an attractive historic environment that is economically viable.

Howard-Dickinson House

The Howard-Dickson House is considered the first brick home built in Rusk County in 1855. Located at 501 South Main Street in Henderson, it is a Texas Historic Landmark.

Monte Verdi Plantation

Monte Verdi is an architectural showplace built in the Greek Revival style and was completed in 1856. The plantation is now a private residence owned by Joe & Cecilia Koch.
